Dualism Is Long Long Dead Assert The Materialists

I have read this from a lot of materialists saying this very thing. Without actually weighing the evidence against materialists in the first place. As i have mentioned many many times on this blog the massive amounts of evidence, that do not fit into an materialist worldview. The claim that mind is an aspect of the brain for example is reverted by many lines of evidence one of them is the fact that near death experiences are occurring when someone is having a flat EEG. How do we know this?.


This is because the patterns strongly show that these experiences are happening for a long period of time. Now their is minimal activity going on but would it support consciousness when your flat lined no it wouldn't. So clearly, flat EEG ndes refute the view that mind is an aspect of brain activity along with other materialist theories of mind and brain.


Here is a good example of a materialist claiming there fmri's reading people's thoughts provides more nails in the coffin of dualism.



However, their obvious is a way to interpret this rationally in a dualist view. Simply by saying that no dualist denies that the brain and it's subconscious parts play a big role in controlling our decisions. This doesn't mean we have no free will at all, but that we have limited free will. Materialist's would say we need full blown free will to the extent that we have control over everything that happens to us. Which isn't true we obviously, don't and that isn't what is require to postulate the possibility of a soul surviving the demise of the physical body.


Also if you notice in the video where the scientist says i wouldn't call it hostaging because it implies a dualism between your conscious mind and your brain activity. So as you see this scientist is ignoring the possible alternative open minded scientist?. But no surprise either simply following the current worldview doesn't want to go against the grail.

Near Death Experiences And Out Of Body Experiences Most Likely Point To Survival Of Bodily Death Or Super ESP

This is based on the fact that human studies as well as animal studies have typically shown very little brain perfusion [blood flow] or glucose utilization when the EEG is flat. There are deep brain areas involved in generating memories that might still operate at some very reduced level during cardiac arrest, but of course any subcortically generated activity can’t be brought to consciousness without at least one functioning cerebral hemisphere. So even if there were some way that NDEs were generated during the hypoxic state [while the brain is shut off from oxygen], you would not experience them until reperfusion [blood flow] allowed you to dream them or wake up and talk about them. This right there along with the evidence that patients can bring back information they couldn't have possibly known as while as seeing this even miles away. This is why near death experiences and out of body experiences are most likely point toward survival of bodily death or Super Esp. I for one lean more towards survival based on the fact that a lot of the evidence come from other areas are very hard to accept through a super Esp theory.

Terminal Lucidity In Patients With Advanced Dementia

Here is a very interesting study showing that a large number of patients with advanced dementia reported mental clarity and memory shortly before death.

The Fear Of Death Is It Really Necessary?

Why are we humans so afraid of death?. There are numerous reasons why we are some of them that come to mind are:

1.] The fear of torture in hell
2.] Ceasing to be nothing after death
3.] Fear of leaving all living loved ones alone
4.] It being painful

Those seem to be the obvious ones, i for one no longer fear death as much as i used too. However i do still fear it to an extent based on the fact that nothing is certain. I for one am leading to two possible scenarios that seem more probable now then they did before. That is when i used to think death was the end of my consciousness. Those two scenarios are

1. Super ESP- an infinite amount of information in the universe that mediums just tap into and then becomes no evidence that mediums are communicating with souls from the otherside.

2. Some kind of an afterlife- This one seems more probable based on all of the available evidence we have. In the end, it all comes down to a matter of choice will you be someone who believes that death is the end of personality, memories etc?. Or someone who believes all of the evidence for life after death can be explained by a super ESP theory?. Last but not least believe that the evidence that is opposed to the current view of science point towards life after death. If we all knew for certain that their is an afterlife tommorrow i am sure it wouldn't necessarily be a good thing. Because people would want to commit suicide just to be with their loved ones on the otherside.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

I like to wish all of the readers reading this blog a very merry christmas and a happy new year. May you all enjoy the holiday season.

A little side note: I watched the lastest skeptiko podcast where scientist Michael Persinger was on. He mentioned how scientists must test for the supposed theory that the brain generates consciousness and the mind. I would say to he is wrong on this point we need to test for both theories [ Brain generates consciousness, mind], Brain receives or is a transceiver consciousness and mind].
