The interaction problem for Substance Dualists and the chemical brain
So how can something non-physical interact with the physical. I think this is a red-herring, especially knowing we don't ask how non-living unconscious things interact daily with physical conscious beings. If you don't take consciousness seriously and don't think it has any subjective qualities (non-physical in the sense of having subjective aspects which I think most substance dualists would say). Then many materialists who thigns such as consciousness is a grand illusion generated in the brain. I mentioned I think the soul is made up of another type of matter, and we do know that their is more than just the matter we are made of that can live. That different form of matter is vibrating at a higher frequency, this is what the evidence for an afterlife strongly points out.
Recently, their was an article in New Scientist where a chemist by the name of Lee Cronin believes using chemistry will help create artificial life as well as explain consciousness. He goes on to say that Consciousness will never will realized in silicon. He seems to be just another materialist who is looking for a biological account for consciousness.

Had a very good double Birthday and other news
I had pizza and cake and ice cream for my birthday. I also received 40 dollars from my mother for my birthday and a birthday card, a t-shirt, customize wrestling hat with my favorite wrestler on it, Braun Strowman and some lottery tickets. My brother Tommy got me brand new computer speakers for my birthday. We decided to have a double birthday as his birthday is only five days from mine. My brother Tommy also received money for his birthday and a birthday card from us and some lottery tickets. I just recently purchased another wrestling figure of amazon.ca with my birthday money his wrestling name is Elias Samson and he comes with his guitar.
I found out today my brother Tommy's and his girlfriend Renee cat Nutmeg died today. It was very sorry and I and my mother gave our condolences.
In other news neuroscientists have recently discovered new neurons in the human brain that are not found in mice's brains. They could be in other animals as well. These neurons are called "RoseNip" neurons.

New study done on DMT and it's relationship with NDE?
A recent study has been published and materialists are touting it as evidence that near death experiences are brain based phenomenon. That DMT experiences are very similar to Near Death Experiences. Let's delve into this more and we shall see that is no true.
DMT experience is no where near similar to an actual Near Death Experience. First of all, near death experiencer's don't encounter mechanical elves in hyper space. Second, no near death experience reports a high pitched whining/whirring sound during the onset of their experience. Third, people who take DMT their life is not fundamentally changed for the rest of their life. It only feels temporarily real to them where someone who has a nde it feels real to them for the rest of their life a permanent change. Fourth, their are lots of cases of people who see things they couldn't have possibly have seen while being clinically dead. Fifth, people who take dmt don't report seeing deceased loved ones. Sixth, recall is often difficult with people who have a DMT experience. People who had a NDE are very often their recall is very long and detailed and carry on with the emotions and feelings of that experience many years later. Two cases for example of out of body veridical perception were mentioned in my last post. This study does not support methodological Naturalism, but instead continues to throw old explanations that have been clearly refuted.
Here is a link to the study

Also here is an excellent article showing why near death experiences are not DMT trips.

Two more powerful cases that supports the view that there is an afterlife
I recently discovered two powerful cases providing further scientific evidence for near death experiences/out of body experiences. One of them reported by Dr. Norma Bowe from Kean University. The patient suffered an extreme case of OCD, which led her to having a counting problem. What is remarkable about this case is she saw a 12 digit serial number where the only way to see the serial number would be if you had a ladder in order to see it from a standing position .
As it would be impossible to read the 12 digit serial number from just a standing position. More can be found here, just scroll down the page to just about the bottom of the page.

https://www.npr.org/books/titles/263101025/the-death-class-a-true-story-about-life#excerpt
The second case is from an anesthesiologist Christopher Yerington. The patient a male was able to recall from memory when the patient was clinically dead before the operation and then dead another 94 minutes in the middle of the operation!.

Materialist's attack the Scientific Evidence for Psi
Just recently I have come across several attacks from Materialist's on Psi. One such attack states that Quantum Field Theory shows that Psi Phenomenon doesn't exist because physicist's have discovered all particles and forces in nature. That isn't true, that is why we have the Large Hardon Collider as we are still discovering new particles and forces. For example this particle.
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/lhc-physicists-unveil-a-charming-new-particle/
The standard model is incomplete, that of course doesn't lend any credence for Psi Phenomenon, however, it does refute the claim made by Physicist Sean Carroll that physicist's understand all the particles and forces in nature. On top of that, it is said that psi phenomenon should be reproducible on demand. No it doesn't, meteorites are not reproducible but we know they exist, it just goes to show something can exist without it always being reproducible. Another attacks comes from Neurologist Steven Novella who says that a good scientist always is looking to show that their theory is wrong. True and it's not like Parapsychologist's were out to prove that Psi is real, instead they actually looked at the opposing explanations first but soon found out they couldn't explain the data that they were getting. Of course, skeptics are also very upset by the fact that the American Association for the Advancement of Science strongly endorses the Parapsychological Association. The Parapsychological Association has been affiliated with the AAAS since 1969.
A devastating rebuttal to Physicist Sean Carroll's claim that the physics of underlying the "world of everyday experience" is completely understood. This is from another materialist who respects him.
https://quantummoxie.wordpress.com/2013/01/06/why-sean-carroll-is-wrong/
Recently, in the Skeptical Inquirer a magazine where numerous materialist scientists right their own opinion on numerous topics such as the paranormal, alternative medicine etc. Psychologist Stuart Vyse accuses Psychologist and Parapsychologist Daryl Bem of P-Hacking.
https://www.csicop.org/specialarticles/show/p-hacker_confessions_daryl_bem_and_me
Here is the definition of what P-Hacking is from Wikipedia
Data dredging (also data fishing, data snooping, and p-hacking) is the use of data mining to uncover patterns in data that can be presented as statistically significant, without first devising a specific hypothesis as to the underlying causality.
- I am not sure if Daryl Bem was P-hacking or not however to accuse him of doing so is taking it too far. Unless, Stuart actually has evidence to confirm this or Daryl Bem comes out and says so we would have to apparently believe Stuart's word on this. I don't think we have too. Is this the best the materialist's can do?. They obviously were not happy when Jessica Utts refuted the Wagermaker's who argued that psychologist's should replace their familiar “frequentist” statistical analyses of their data with Bayesian analyses.
http://psycnet.apa.org/record/2011-21254-001
Psychologist Susan Blackmore had to get involved in this matter as well as she apart of the skeptic community too.
Here is an interesting piece on her where you can find here

Why it's unreasonable to assume that the brain somehow produces consciousness
First we have no idea what consciousness in fact philosophers and mystics have a much closer colloquial understanding of consciousness than anything proposed by neuroscientists. We know that the brain can influence the consciousness and also that consciousness can influence the brain. This evidence fits perfectly into interactionism substance dualism. Where materialist's run into a big problem how can the mind have a great influence on our brain/body if the universe is a closed system?. Materialist's often come back by saying we don't deny the science evidence that the mind can influence the brain/body. Really? when they keep saying that it points in only one casual direction mind is caused by the brain or mind is what the brain does. Instead of saying the casualty is equally balanced. Which fits into a interactionism substance dualist view. However, it's often point out how can something immaterial like the mind affect something material. Well, it's rather easy if you let go of the assumption of seeing the universe as a closed system. Also, the evidence for survival of bodily death which has I have mentioned numerous times on here as well as the evidence for psi shows how untenable the assumption is that the brain somehow creates consciousness.

Shadow man!
Hi guys, my mother has been seeing a dark figure who looks like a man at 6 feet tall. He always is in the same spot and bends over on one side like he is looking at my mother and my mother screams ever time this happens after she gets out of dreaming. However, she is able to move unlike sleep paralysis, plus she is very vividly. This happened again last night which is why I am trying to get to the bottom of it. She has been seeing this figure just shortly after my father passed away. My mother saw my father however far more clearly and was able to see his actual face which she knew it was my father (her husband), and he was a younger version of him before he got sick with his heart disease. What could this figure be?. Is it my father or some other entity?. This figure however is not trying to harm her but it's annoying as it keeps happening. This doesn't happen every night but it has happened numerous times over the last eight years. The figure disappears as soon as my mother screams sometimes other times it disappears without her doing anything at all. My father passed away back on July 25, 2010 so just about 8 years old.I am really not sure what is going on here.

Will a large chunk of Canada have a hot summer?
It looks like its going to be a hot summer this year for eastern Canada as well as some areas out West. The weather network and global news weather outlooks are pointing in that direction. I personally don't like hot summer myself. Maybe, this will mean a cold snowy winter for a large portion of Canada?. As it seems like a hot summer brings about a cold snowy winter. We shall see.

Evidence now pointing in the directions that we do indeed have free will
Past experiments seem to deliver evidence that materialist's were right and that we don't have free will. Well things are changing as evidence is showing that free will exists in some degree. I never thought we have full blown free will though as our brain restricts our immaterial soul and will greatly.
https://www.thecut.com/2016/02/a-neuroscience-finding-on-free-will.html
For the materialist's who believe in determinism it looks like the evidence for that is far from conclusive. Also materialist's have been intepretating their experiments on free will as evidence against free will.
https://news.ncsu.edu/2018/03/free-will-review-2018/
In similar news apparently an ancient virus could be responsible for human consciousness. Hmm okay, wouldn't a brain virus be more likely to bring about a zombie rather than consciousness?.

Reasons why Materialist scientist's don't accept the evidence for Psi and the Afterlife
Here are some of the reasons I can think of
1. The assumption that the Universe is closed so Psi Phenomenon and the possibility of an afterlife are completely ruled out.
2. Because as children they found out that Santa Claus wasn't real that must mean that anything that seems to good to be true must be false even if the evidence is very good.
3. Guerilla Skepticism a group of people who's agenda is to try to overshadow evidence they don't agree with

My review of the book Myth of an Afterlife
I have come across this book by authors Keith Augustine and the late Michael Martin. The book argues that the mind is completely dependent on the brain. Therefore, when the brain dies the mind dies. This is just a partial review of the book as it would take a lot of time to review this book and it's because it's a lot of the same stuff that dualist's already know about. I would just like to refute certain things that have taken my attention. One of the argument's in the book comes from the physics part of it. That it violates known physical laws however those laws are often violated regularly. The problems with the casual closure argument is that number one it has never been shown to be scientifically true. Number two a lot of scientists disagree with this argument and state the universe is actually open. Keith Augustine obviously has no clue what substance dualism actually entails. My view of the soul is that it's an etheric like substance that is made up of a different kind of matter. This etheric body vibrates at a higher frequency than normal matter.
The etheric body (soul) does not get effected by just things as brain damage only the the mind which is largely information based. The split brain experiments doesn't help Keith's case whatsoever as the recent data show no split consciousnesses. On top of that Multiple Personality disorder has been largely discredited.

What is in question is the degree of the dependency between mind and brain. It doesn't seem as strong as what many of the scientists let on it is. Keith also mentions in the book if the brain is a mere receiver of the mind then why is the brain so complexed?. Has Keith ever heard of the view of a complex receiver. If the brain is a producer or generator of the mind/consciousness than it would equally have to be complexed to do that as well. What evidence Keith states would show that substance dualism is probably false?. I have actually mentioned that strong AI would deliver such strong evidence as how could are mind and consciousness be replicated in a machine if it's destined to go to the afterlife?. However, unfortunately for Keith, Strong AI is looking less and less likely as more and more false predictions come out about when it will happen. So we keep moving forward in time making it less likely. Keith just uses excuses as to why the evidence for an afterlife doesn't work. He is fixated on an agenda to push his view along with the authors and scientists in this book without giving a neutral view on this subject which is rightfully deserves. No dualist denies the fact of interaction between the mind and brain, their is no one way casual street however like Keith Augustine would like readers to believe. Instead we have strong evidence that the mind can also effect the brain.
One of the evidence's that Materialist's use as evidence for dependency of the mind and brain. Is that bigger brains make better minds. That however is not true instead often brain size has nothing to do with intelligence which is one of the key aspect of the mind. If the production theory was true you would actually expect bigger brains to make better minds that is not the case. I know many people with smaller brains than some of my other friends who have bigger brains but those friends of mine with the smaller brains actually are smarter than them they have a high IQ. Another evidence that materialist use is that when the brain is damage the mind is also damaged this is the other line of evidence in favored of dependency we are told. Unlike materialist's though we jump to the conclusion that mind is damaged when the brain is. Instead we point out to the fact that their is a strong correlation between the brain and the mind. However that doesn't lead to the conclusion that the brain causes the mind.
There is two compelling reasons putting instead the evidence for survival and psi phenomenon for a second why it's actually not logical to think that the mind/consciousness must cease to exist when the brain/body does.
1. All physical things are subject to death no other way around that. However, consciousness is largely subjective, we know of nothing else that is subjective in nature. How can something that is largely subjective die?. This in of itself would strongly argue for the existence of an afterlife.
2. If their is no end or beginning to the universe and it's like the cyclic model than eventually you would exist again somewhere in the the universe.

Happy New Year!
I hope your Christmas and New Years was great. Mine wasn't too bad we almost lost our power a couple of times it was blinking but luckily we didn't lose it. We had an ice storm at Christmas yeah it wasn't too good.Suppose to have another bad storm tomorrow this one they are referring to like its a winter hurricane. Yeah suppose to have very strong winds again. I got plenty of stuff for Christmas such as a brand new cd player, t-shirts, sleep pants, wrestling figures that I collect among other things. I did not make any New Years resolutions because I believe that a lot of people make unrealistic goals they cannot possibly achieve. I do the same, they say just make small goals instead yeah but much easier said then done. It's hard to believe it's another new year it just seemed like 2017 was here.
